Vessel Tools
includes the following functionality:
- Segmented
Cone Layout,
including percent waste, edge length, and AutoCad DXF file or printed
output. Use this once, and you've probably paid for Vessel Tools,
in terms of time saved and accuracy.
- Segmented
Ring Layout, has the same features as the Segmented Cone Layout,
and will also save a great deal of time for engineering, the shop
and the estimating department.
- Nozzle
Length Calculator
calculates the dimension through the shell or head and the overall
nozzle length for radial or offset nozzles in cylindrical shell
sections or in any non-conical heads. This is a great time saver
for estimating, material take-off, and the engineering department.
- Equation
Notebook solves
all the textbook pressure vessel equations for thickness or pressure.
Your engineering department will love this one, for doing quick
checks or estimates without tying up your design program. It also
saves having to do those same calculations on a calculator over
and over.
- Stud
Bolt Length Calculator - select the flanges and get the standard
stud bolt and nut sizes for that set. Conveniently easy to copy
to the clipboard in order to paste it into other Windows applications.

Note also that
one uncommon feature is the use of Unit Fields in many places within
the program. These fields are, so far as we know, unique to D-Soft products.
For instance, either side of the distance conversions can have any of
these units: inches, feet, yards, millimeters, meters or centimeters.
To change the units, simply right-click over a field and select the
desired units and level of display accuracy. The Unit Fields retain
their settings for your convenience.
